Vans Café is looking for a full-time manager to join our established team.
Vans is a family owned & operated breakfast lunch & dinner restaurant & arguably one of Perth’s most consistently busy places.
We are looking for a manager that likes busy services but also wants to contribute new ideas to our established team.

You will report to the Restaurant Manager and be responsible for:
- Maintaining a high service standard while observing our company culture and values.
- Opening and closing of business
- Cashing out tills
- Running shifts
- Supporting staff for smooth operations of business
- Maître d busy services ensuring smooth seating and greeting
- Maintaining high standards
- Ensuring quests are well looked after

We also offer flexible working options – full time or part time available.
You will also receive on the job training within each department and further training in management to ensure complete knowledge of the restaurant operation and to further your skills as a manager. This will include training in rostering, ordering, staff training & inductions.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must have the below:
- Have a minimum of 2 years previous experience working in a fast paced venue in a similar level position
- Show leadership and have a vibrant and bubbly personality
- Passion for high quality food & drinks
- Lead & manage our staff and operations
- Attention to detail
- Be able to problem solve and react quickly to changing circumstances
- Train staff every day on every shift, to lift standards, competency and guest satisfaction
- Have maître d’ experience
- Act immediately, fairly and in the guests best interests (within reason) to deal with guest issues.
- Must be willing and available to work weekends and rostered shifts (including public holidays)
- Is a well presented team player with a positive attitude
- Exceptional communication skills with employees, customers and clients.
- Ability to drive and run an excellent service with a keen eye for detail
- Approved Managers certificate
- AHA Hygiene Certificate
- Excel & Word intermediate level
- InDesign a plus
